Videos circulating on social media depict Israelis fleeing the Tel Aviv beach and seeking shelter as sirens blare. In response to the rocket strikes, Israel has reportedly closed the airspace over Ben Gurion airport. Israeli media estimates that over 300 rockets have been fired into Tel Aviv and various occupied territories thus far.
The Joint Operations Room of the Palestinian resistance factions expressed unanimous support, coordination, and political backing for this response. They announced the commencement of "Operation Revenge of the Free" and claimed responsibility for the rocket barrages. The statement emphasized that targeting civilians and assassinating Palestinian individuals crosses a red line and will be met with full force. It warned of dark days ahead if Israel persists in its aggression.
Prior to the rocket fire, Israeli warplanes had been conducting renewed airstrikes on the Gaza Strip. These airstrikes resulted in the deaths of five more Palestinians on Wednesday, adding to the death toll from Tuesday's massacre, which currently stands at 20 Palestinians with over 40 injuries. Among the casualties was a five-year-old boy whose heart reportedly stopped out of fear.
