On May 14th, during a march of solidarity with the Palestinian people, Muhammad Ali al-Houthi, a member of the Sanaa government's Supreme Political Council, accused the Saudi-led coalition of delaying its recent promises to end the war and lift the blockade against Yemen. Houthi called for the Yemeni people to remain vigilant and prepared, as the coalition has been procrastinating in stopping the aggression and lifting the siege.
Although Saudi Arabia has participated in Omani-mediated peace talks with the Ansarallah resistance movement and made some progress, including a prisoner exchange and agreements on lifting the blockade against Hodeidah port and Sanaa International Airport, Washington and the UAE continue to obstruct peace efforts. As a result, Saudi Arabia's willingness to end the war has been overshadowed, and the coalition has resumed its violations of efforts to solidify a truce by launching border attacks and shelling regions such as Saada province and other areas. Meanwhile, Ansarallah has maintained its siege over the strategic southwestern province of Taiz.
During the march, Houthi referenced Israel's recent Iron Dome defense system malfunctions during rocket fire on the occupied territories, stating that Saudi Arabia and the UAE are broken in the face of Yemen and questioning how they can protect the countries that normalize ties with Israel. Ansarallah has repeatedly warned that if peace efforts fail, it is prepared for all-out war against the coalition and ready to strike the depths of both Saudi Arabia and the UAE with missiles.
Houthi also renewed Ansarallah's support for the Palestinian cause and resistance, declaring its readiness to confront Israel. The movement is known to possess missiles capable of reaching Israel, including the Zulfiqar missile, which it has used against Saudi Arabia in the past. As the Yemeni people, Houthi affirmed their loyalty to Palestine and their willingness to participate in actual and direct support of the Palestinian cause.
