Final Farewell: Funeral Prayer for Kaduna's Pro-Palestine Martyrs

 


In a somber ceremony, the funeral prayer for the martyrs of the pro-Palestine demonstration took place at Fudiyya Rigasa, Kaduna. The demonstrators, who had gathered peacefully in solidarity with the oppressed Palestinians.

The incident unfolded as the demonstration reached the National Human Rights Commission, Kaduna branch. Under the directives of Kaduna state Governor Uba Sani, the state government dispatched the Nigerian police force to disperse the sympathizers. This resulted in the merciless firing of live ammunition on the participants, claiming the lives of two individuals engaged in the pro-Palestine demonstration.

The martyrs were identified as Shaheed Sidi Anas and Shaheed Muhsin Abubakar, both of whom lost their lives while expressing solidarity with the people of Gaza. Additionally, a bike rider unrelated to the demonstration fell victim to the indiscriminate firing by the Mobile Police (MOPOL) and tragically lost his life.

The funeral prayer drew attendees from various Muslim sects, commemorating the sacrifice of these heroes who stood in support of the Palestinian cause. The hashtag #Matyres echoed the sentiment of honoring these individuals as martyrs and heroes.
