Iran’s Foreign Ministry has strongly rejected a U.S.-drafted United Nations Security Council resolution on Gaza, calling it a violation of Palestinian rights and accusing it of imposing a “guardianship” system over the territory.
Tehran argues that the resolution undermines Palestinian self-determination and fails to guarantee a truly independent Palestinian state.
Iran insists that any foreign force deployed in Gaza should operate only under full UN supervision, and its mandate must be limited to overseeing ceasefire implementation and aid delivery.
The ministry emphasized that resistance to occupation remains legitimate under international law, framing the situation as a broader struggle against colonialism.
It also called for any future political arrangements in Palestine to respect national consensus among Palestinians rather than being dictated by external powers.
