Title: Israeli Forces Kill Two Palestinian Men in West Bank Raid Amid Escalating Violence
Israeli occupation troops have reportedly shot and killed two young Palestinian men during a military raid in the occupied West Bank city of Qabatiya. This incident follows a recent military operation by the Israeli regime, which resulted in the assassination of three commanders from the Islamic Jihad in the Gaza Strip. The violence in the region has been on the rise for over a year, with no signs of abating.
According to the Israeli military, the raid was conducted in the early hours of Wednesday in Qabatiya, located six kilometers south of Jenin. The military claimed that the raid was in response to two gunmen who allegedly opened fire on Israeli troops from a passing vehicle. The troops reportedly responded by firing at the assailants, resulting in their deaths. The military further stated that they seized an assault rifle and handgun from the vehicle.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health identified the victims as 19-year-old Ahmad Jamal Assaf and 24-year-old Warani Walid Qatanat, as reported by Palestine's official news agency, Wafa. Additionally, another Palestinian individual was injured during the assault.
Witnesses in Qabatiya reported a significant presence of Israeli occupation forces, who conducted a forceful raid in the western neighborhood of the city. They forcibly entered several homes, conducting thorough searches and causing damage to properties before eventually leaving the area.
