The Osun State Police Command has confirmed the arrest of Saheed Wasiu, also known as K-Federal, following his confession to the murder of 20 individuals. Wasiu, who was wanted by the police for his involvement in murder and cult-related activities, was apprehended in the Alusekere area of Ede by detectives from the Special Anti-Cultism unit.
According to Yemisi Opalola, the spokesperson for the Command, the suspect is a member of the Rasheed Hammed-led Eiye Confraternity, also known as Oko-Ilu. During interrogation, Wasiu admitted his affiliation with the group and provided details about his participation in the killings. He confessed to being involved in the brutal murders of nearly twenty innocent citizens in Ede town, with their bodies reportedly disposed of in the Osun River in the Sagba area. Among the victims mentioned were individuals named Wale, Jamiu, Ganiyu, Azeez, Eyimba, and others.
Opalola further disclosed that Rasheed Hammed, the leader of the Eiye Confraternity, had previously been arrested and remanded in a correctional facility. The police spokesperson stated that the investigation into the case is ongoing, and once concluded, the suspect will be charged to court.
