In recent events, armed groups affiliated with the US occupation-backed QSD militia have launched operations in several villages near Tal Hamis town and Tabqa city in the countryside of Hasaka and Raqqa. These actions are allegedly conducted under the pretext of searching for individuals who are wanted by the authorities.
According to local sources cited by SANA, the heavily armed groups surrounded Ghassan and al-Zahra villages in Tal Hamis town, located in the southern countryside of Qamishli. They proceeded to forcefully enter numerous houses, claiming to be searching for wanted individuals, with the support of US occupation forces. Concurrently, helicopters belonging to the occupation forces were observed flying in the vicinity of Raqqa city's western area.
Furthermore, the so-called "military police" of the QSD militia has initiated a campaign of raids in Tabqa city. Disturbingly, as part of these operations, a number of young men have been reportedly abducted with the intention of coercing them into joining the ranks of the militia.
